I agree, it is harder right now out there. But it's not impossible. I think designers are privileged compared to other roles in tech because of portfolios. A less experienced designer can stand out by their portfolio and make up for a lack of experience in that way. That said, it doesn't mean they'll get a perfect job with that approach straight away. Career building takes years.
