This is so well put and well written. đź‘Ź I can't stand the executives talking about how they care about usability (that's what most of them think UX/Product design is all about anyway) in meetings with designers but then doing the complete opposite when making decisions. We've come so far that we could almost call the UX industry a bullshit industry. We failed miserably, designers are getting used and their skills abused. We got conned and most don't even know it. Fake care, empathy, and toxic positivity rule the UX and the tech industry. If you call it out, you get outcast or even worse, laid off. I believe that's what happened to most designers that were laid off in the big layoffs. It sure happened to me.
